Ezidoesit on Outlook 2010

Next year, probably in the first half of 2010, Microsoft will release Office 2010. Currently the product is at the Beta stage.

We have been doing some testing of Ezidoesit starting July with the Technical Preview of Office 2010 and can confirm that it does indeed work.

The only issues we are working on at this stage is working out a final design for how we want our Ezidoesit Ribbon bar to look.

Early in the New Year we will be releasing to testers a version of Ezidoesit for Outlook 2010. If you wish to be included in this Beta testing program please contact Starsoft at support @ starsoft.co.nz.

Starsoft launches Ezidoesit Enterprise R2 Edition

Starsoft Limited (“Starsoft”) today announced the launch of an update to Ezidoesit Enterprise  Edition software in New Zealand.

Ezidoesit Enterprise R2 adds some exciting new features to the existing version of Ezidoesit Enterprise Edition and is available as a free update to all existing users of Enterprise Edition.

EziAnswer allows users to drag and drop emails that they need to answer onto a white colour on the Ezidoesit Elevator Bar. These emails are then moved from the users inbox. The user can set two reminders a day (say late morning and late afternoon) which will send them an email reminder of emails that are waiting to be answered. The user can, at any time, open the EziAnswer window and reply to emails. This option allows an Outlook email user to control when emails are answered and avoid their day being run according to other peoples’ schedule. It also avoids the quick stimulus response to emails which we can regret later.

Starsoft Managing Director Dermott Renner said “According to a joint study done by The University of Illinois and Microsoft, it takes a worker 17 minutes to get back to what they were working on after interrupting their work to answer an email. EziAnswer is the solution to email interruptions and can save businesses serious money by providing Outlook users these tools.”

This update also allows Enterprise users to import Outlook tasks into Ezidoesit and to export Ezidoesit tasks.

A new Advanced Scheduling rule option allows emails from specific email addresses or domain names to have pre-set priorities for scheduling tasks and work. In addition, tasks not finished at the end of the day can be re-scheduled to another time.

We also have a new online Ezidoesit Help portal.

Ezidoesit is now available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Polish.

Ezidoesit works with Microsoft Windows 7

I can confirm that Ezidoesit (all versions) works with Microsoft® Outlook© 2007 running on Windows 7 Beta and RC (Release Candidate).

Since February I have been running Windows 7 (first the Beta and now the RC version), Outlook 2007 and Ezidoesit on 3 different HP notebooks and everything has worked perfectly. These notebooks all previously ran various versions of Microsoft Vista. As with Vista the Windows 7 versions include both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

I am now running Outlook Service Pack 2 and this has not caused any problems at all.

Starsoft launches Ezidoesit Standard and Enterprise

Starsoft Limited (“Starsoft”) today announced the launch of Ezidoesit Standard Edition and Ezidoesit Enterprise Edition.

Ezidoesit Standard Edition is a low cost cut down version of Ezidoesit Professional Edition. This starter version of Ezidoesit gives Microsoft® Outlook© users the ability to save at least 60 minutes a day with faster and easier ways to organize their work.

Ezidoesit Enterprise Edition is the complete Task and Work Scheduling software for Microsoft Outlook. It adds a number of new features above those that are in Ezidoesit Professional. These include a complete client based Email Archiving option, the ability to synchronous Ezidoesit data online/offline and a new EziQueue feature that allows unallocated tasks to be stored and retrieved by users using the Workgroup add-on for Enterprise.

Mr Renner said “Today we launched two new Ezidoesit products - Standard and Enterprise Editions. More than at any other time in history businesses today need to get more work done with fewer resources – less people and less time. Email is a necessary and important tool in business today but it can become both a distraction and cause stress because too many options are presented to the Outlook user to work on. It is stressful trying to juggle competing demands, fitting everything in and doing the important things first. Ezidoesit, through a simple and smart user interface, allows the user to create tasks and schedule these into their Outlook Calendar".

Starsoft launches Ezidoesit Workgroup Edition

Starsoft Limited (“Starsoft”) today announced the launch of its new Ezidoesit Workgroup Edition software in New Zealand.

Ezidoesit Workgroup is a multi-user version of Ezidoesit Professional released in February and can save your workgroup or team time and stress and provides enhanced work scheduling and resource planning. This add-on turns Ezidoesit Professional into a multi-user version that links everyone together and enables everyone on your team to move in the same direction. Users across multiple teams can work on the same project and a user can be a member of multiple teams. Workgroup projects are independent of teams and have a project leader. Workgroup includes Team and Project reporting, Data Security to control access to task and project information, and Advanced Project features.

Starsoft Managing Director Dermott Renner said “Ezidoesit Workgroup is a fantastic add-on to the Professional version of Ezidoesit and uses the same visual method of reporting on team member work. All the reports that are in Professional such as Time Usage and the Performance Gauge can report on team and project data plus we have added new reports such as the Task List and Task Management Ability report which should task slippage information. None of the advanced reporting introduced in the Workgroup Edition requires any additional data entry over what has always been captured in Ezidoesit Professional through our drag and drop interface.”

Used retrospectively as well as prospectively you can quickly assess who might be overloaded and who might be underutilized. However, before making any changes to task allocation check out the Task Management Ability Report to see how successful your team members are in meeting time goals. Some “underutilised” team members may be more efficient in their work.

Mr Renner said “Since February when we launched Ezidoesit Professional we have consistently added new features to the product each month and added support for seven foreign languages. Now with Workgroup Edition launched, we have a world beating collaborative task and work scheduling product available for Microsoft® Outlook™ users. In business today even more so than we launched Ezidoesit in February there is a need for people to achieve more with less people and time. We believe this software will save most users 60 minutes a day through better and quicker scheduling and prioritizing work. Some of our users say it saves them over two hours a day.”

Ezidoesit Professional is now available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish and Polish.

CeBIT Days 5 & 6

Saturday and Sunday at CeBIT were not as busy as the week days but by the end of Sunday I think everyone was ready to go
home or travel to their next destination.

Here are all of the New Zealand stand exhibitors plus the staff from New Zealand Trade & Enterprise in New Zealand and
the Hamburg office. The three girls in white in the middle were the stand hostesses who did a great job for the exhibitors.

Starsoft had a great show, over 450 business cards collected, huge interest in Ezidoesit from people from all over the world.

 9th March 2008

CeBIT Day 4

Friday today and late afternoon we drew a business card out for the winner of the Apple iPod Touch 16GB which we gave away for visitors to our stand.

Sarah Munn (she is the one on the left) New Zealand Trade & Enterprise CeBIT 2008 Project Manager did the draw.
Congratulations to Holger Schwahn was the lucky winner and the iPod has been sent to Holger.

CeBIT Day 3

Today, Thursday is New Zealand day at CeBIT 2008. This is the first time that the organizers of CeBIT have had a national day. So today Pete Hodgson who is the New Zealand government minister for Research and Development came to the stand. He visited all of the companies on the New Zealand stand including Starsoft.

From left to right - Alan Cook, New Zealand Ambassador to Germany (back to camera), Dermott Renner, Managing Director Starsoft Ltd, Peter Hodgson, Minister of Research & Development New Zealand government, Kate Hlavac, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise CeBIT 2008 Project Owner.

Every day and twice on Thursday Starsoft did public demonstrations of the Ezidoesit software. Above, Starsoft Managing Director Dermott Renner prepares to throw a rugby ball into the crowd watching the presentation.

CeBIT Day 1

Tuesday, first day of CeBIT and we are ready to rock and roll. We were almost late for the start, arriving at the hall about 1 minute to 9 due to a tram/taxi strike earlier in the morning. This meant there were no taxi's so we had to take the tram into town change and then catch it to the north end of the showgrounds and walk to the south end.

It was a slow start but about 10am things started to get busy and by the end of the day we had demonstrated Ezidoesit to over 90 people.

 4th March 2008

CeBIT Setup

Starsoft are exhibiting at CeBIT 2008 in Hannover, Germany. We are on the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise in Hall 14.
At 5pm we went to the CeBIT trade showgrounds and started to setup our part of the New Zealand stand.

There is a real sense of excitement amongst the New Zealand exhibitors; everyone has come a long way and historically New Zealand companies have done very well at CeBIT.

The CeBIT showgrounds are huge, bigger than Texas. 27 halls and 1 million square metres of display space.

Everything seemed to work so we are ready to go tomorrow morning which is the first day of the show.

We have all of our marketing collateral - brochures, attendance cards, rugby balls, hats and prize give aways so it should be fun (and long days and hard work).

Starsoft staff today celebrated the launch yesterday afternoon of their new Ezidoesit Task and Work Scheduling software for Microsoft Outlook.

Press Release

Starsoft launches Ezidoesit software for Microsoft Outlook

Starsoft Limited (Starsoft) today announced the launch of its new Ezidoesit software in New Zealand.

Starsoft Managing Director Dermott Renner said Ezidoesit is software that adds task and work scheduling features to Microsoft Outlook 2007 and 2003, the number one business email client in the market. This software is very easy to use, it is very visual, and  employs drag and drop to turn an email into a task and schedule it into your Outlook Calendar in 15 seconds or less. Ezidoesit tasks are scheduled around existing appointments in your calendar. If you change tasks in the calendar then these changes are automatically reflected in the Ezidoesit task itself.  With the Performance Gauge, users can monitor how effective they are at using their time and what type of work they are working on critical or high priority work or low priority.

Ezidoesit tasks are stored in a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition database on the users desktop or notebook computer. In the Team Edition data will be stored in a central SQL Server database. Because Ezidoesit works on received email or manually entered tasks, someone sitting on an aircraft could schedule their work without access to the Internet.

Mr Renner said In the software industry we are not always good at creating simple, easy to use software.  Email and scheduling work is a stress point for many people in business today. Ezidoesit significantly answers this problem and this helps users become more productive. Starsoft is working on a Team Edition of Ezidoesit which will provide enhanced functionality for workgroups of Microsoft Outlook users.

Why hasnt someone thought of this before?  quote from Regus manager, London, UK when hearing about Ezidoesit.

The target market for Ezidoesit is businesses of all sizes, and anyone else that uses Microsoft Outlook for their email. The market for this software is the hundreds of millions of Microsoft Outlook users.

Ezidoesit is launched in New Zealand today and the global launch of the software will be at CeBIT 2008 4-8 March 2008, Hannover, Germany. Starsoft have a booth on the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise stand (Hall 14, stand G38).

Foreign language versions in German, French, Italian and Spanish are under development with the German version due to be released at CeBIT 2008 in March.

Starsoft has launched its new GenWeb 2007 website software. This software is very easy to use and enables people of all ages and skill levels to setup their own website or blog (web log) or business users to setup a password protected Intranet. One of our first goals when we developed this software was to empower a larger section of the community with the ability to not only setup their own website, but to also be able to maintain it themselves. In other words we designed it for normal people, not IT people! Our by-line for this software is Weave your own Web Magic!"
GenWeb is a hosted service, there is no software to download and install onto your computer. The technical description is SaaS (Software as a Service), we host the software at Starsoft, we trouble shoot any problems and we take care of all the backups of the data.
Everyone gets a free 30 day trial of the software so you can try it before you buy it. To try the software go to the www.genweb.co.nz website and click on the Free Trial menu item. We will email you in 20 days time and also 1 day before your trial expires to see if you wish to purchase a subscription.
There are 3 versions of GenWeb - Standard (this is what the Trial version is), Professional and Professional Plus. The differences between versions is in the amount of data storage space you can use on our web servers (50 megabytes, 100 megabytes or 300 megabytes), how many administrator users can change the website (either 3, 5 or unlimited) and how many Master Page templates you get (2, 4 or 8). GenWeb Professional Plus also includes our Forum software.
The standard version is $NZ12.95 inc GST per month, 6 months prepaid is $NZ67.95, 12 months prepaid is $NZ127.95.

The professional version is $NZ19.95 inc GST per month, 6 months prepaid is $NZ104.95, 12 months prepaid is $NZ197.95.

The professional plus version is $NZ29.95 inc GST per month, 6 months prepaid is $NZ157.95, 12 months prepaid is $NZ297.95.

When you sign up for a free trial, you will be asked if your website be primarily a website or a blog site. Blogs are perfect for newsletter type content where entries are made on a frequent basis. Some of our test users over the last 2 months have been using GenWeb for this very purpose displaying travel newsletters and photos. The  option you select here will determine the website address for your website.

You are asked for a name for your site, lets say you enter fishing, and say it will be a blog. Your website address will then be
http://fishing.myblog.net.nz, if you had chosen website it would be http://fishing.mywebsite.net.nz. Note there is no WWW in the address, this is replaced by your site name.

If you have a domain name and you want your GenWeb website to run on this domain name then we can set that up for you as well.

Features of GenWeb
GenWeb has a very complete rich text editor which enables you to create your web pages. If you can copy and paste in Word or email then you can setup a GenWeb website.

It can be setup in 15 minutes or less. If you do not have a graphic image as a banner don't worry, use our text banner option under setup to create your own banner.

You can password protect the whole website or individual web pages.
If you make a mistake on your web page you can roll back to the previous version of that web page. You can copy pages making it very easy to duplicate work you have previously done. You can use our Master Pages or create your own.

Web pages created but not added to the menu are parked which makes them very easy to find later when you want to add them to the menu.

On the www.genweb.co.nz website you will find documentation and help, example web pages and all the information you need to get started.

We are selling this service on a subscription basis, you can pay monthly, prepay 6 months access (a 12% discount) or prepay 12 month access (a 17% discount). All payments are by credit card (Visa and MasterCard) from our secure website. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

I would invite you to take advantage of our free 30 day offer and would welcome any feedback you have
