We believe that it is important to use our expertise, time, and financial resources to support community projects. Starsoft as a company support the following organisations and projects through funding and materials. Members of the Starsoft team are also active in a variety of community projects and services.
Zonta International – New Zealand
Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. Members volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, as well as scholarship programs at all academic levels.

Taveuni Schools Project
In conjunction with a number of partners, including Auckland Rotary, Starsoft provides computers and school supplies to the primary and secondary schools on the island of Taveuni, Fiji.

The smaller islands of Fiji, such as Taveuni, do not receive sufficient funding for educational needs. Providing the necessary tools for education will help these young people to escape the cycle of poverty and take their place in their island and the wider world.
Massey University – School of Health Psychology
Starsoft provides the web site (GenWeb) and hosting of the site for the School of Health Psychology, Massey University. With departments at three universities and an extramural student population dispersed throughout New Zealand, the school uses this web site to create a community of post graduate students. Information is shared, events announced, and success celebrated.

University of Auckland – PhD projects
Starsoft is providing its web and mobile expertise to enable a PhD project in eHealth.

Also known as health informatics, this is a relatively recent term for healthcare practice supported by electronic processes and communication. Initially involving the computerization of health data, eHealth now includes the use of web sites and mobile devices.

The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation is the country’s foremost breast cancer education and awareness organisation.

Computers for disadvantaged children
Starsoft provide computers to a not-for-profit group who work with financially disadvantaged children in New Zealand, trying to break the cycle of low socio-economic status and poor educational achievements.

With the pervasion of information technology into schools and homes, those without access to computers at home will find themselves slipping behind their peers. New Zealand broadband roll out will not help them unless they have their own computers.
Youth Pride and the Pacific Pride Programme
In support of Youth Pride and the Pacific Pride programme at One Tree Hill College, Starsoft donated
sports equipment (balls) and stationery (books, pens, pads, folders, paper). 25 students will be
travelling to Samoa to visit several villages and schools to distribute these items.
